What is the Liverpool Santa Dash?
The Liverpool Santa Dash 2010, organised by 'Run Liverpool', it takes place on 6th December around the streets of Liverpool City Centre.
Imagine the scene, it's a cold December morning (-3° last year!), the streets are empty, the sea mist clears revealing 7,500 Santas running!
Why do we do the Santa Dash?
Why do we do this to ourselves you say? Why else but Charity (as well as the good laugh we have doing it!!)
We are trying to raise as much money as possible for our chosen charities by dressing up as good old St. Nick and running around Liverpool like loonies!
Last year our target was £300 and we raised £305 as well as gift aid of £70.51!
This all went to MS Support Centre, Chester.
Who are we doing the Liverpool Santa Dash for?
This year the Liverpool Santa Dash is raising money for Cash For Kids, a great local charity helping improve the lives of thousands of children in our region.
Our growing team of Santas can be seen on the 'Who Are The Dashing Santas?' area of the site. Here you can find out a bit about them although don't believe everything that you read!

About the Liverpool Santa Dash 20102010
The Santa Dash has been going on for many years all around the world and this will be the 6th year that it has been held in Liverpool and runs from the Liver Buildings to the Town Hall (5km) and there is also a 1km run for children.
Last year to beat Las Vegas' World Record we needed 8,000 runners, or Santas, but we only managed to get the small number of 7,763.
But this year we also have Newtown hot on our trail who were the original record holders. It is said that this is the last year that they are taking part and because of that they are determined to win...
...but we'll beat them all!
